ACTIVITY 1

READING STRATEGY: SUMMARISING

Based on the videos and notes on summarising, kindly do the activity as follows:

1. Find a famous (means everyone is most likely to know it too) fairy tales story that you are familiar with.

2. Apply the 5 summarising strategies of   "Somebody Wanted But So Then". 

For example:

Story title: Cinderella

Somebody: Cinderella

Wanted: Cinderella wanted to attend a ballroom party

But: Her stepmother and two stepsisters refused to allow her to attend the party

So: Cinderella asked for a help from her fairy godmother

Then: Her cruel stepmother and two stepsisters finally received their punishments, while Cinderella managed to marry her prince charming and they lived happily ever after.
